TWO PORCELAIN DINNER PLATES FROM THE SERVICE OF GRAND DUKE KONSTANTIN NIKOLAEVICH Russian, St. Petersburg, Imperial Porcelain Factory, Period of Nicholas I, 1848-1852 Ornamentally painted, with gilded rims. Underglaze blue factory mark 'NI' under the crown, numbered in gold '4.' or '54', one plate stamped '46'. Painted with the Grand Duke's monogram in Cyrillic 'WKKN' and with the imperial double-headed eagle. The ceremonial service was designed by F.G. Solntsev for the wedding of the Grand Duke and the Princess of Saxe-Altenburg, the future Grand Duchess Alexandra Iosifovna. Diam. 24 cm.
