A MASSIVE GOLD RING SET WITH A CHERVONETS (DUCAT) DEPICTING THE DOUBLE PORTRAIT OF IVAN V AND PETER I UNDER THE REGENCY OF SOPHIA ALEKSEYEVNA (1662-1689), FROM THE FAMILY COLLECTION OF THE COUNTS ZUBOV 2022 900 gold, set with a novodel of a chervonets depicting the double portraits of Tsars Ivan V and Peter I. The ring shoulders set with a brilliant-cut diamond. D. 2.1 cm, weight 26 g. Marked with fineness '900'. The massive gold ring combines Russian dynastic history with contemporary goldsmith's craftsmanship in a highly representative manner. At its centre is the rare restrike after the historic chervonets from the period of the joint reign of Ivan V and Peter I under the regency of their sister Sophia Alekseyevna.
