AN OVAL GOLD LOCKET 'SAVE AND PROTECT' FROM THE FAMILY COLLECTION OF THE COUNTS ZUBOV Russian, circa 1900 Gold, the hinged cover engraved with the Cyrillic inscription 'Save and Protect'. Marked with 56 standard and maker's mark. According to family tradition, the locket belonged to Countess Vera Sergeevna Zubova, née Plautina (1845-1925). Minimally dented. 4.1 cm long, 13 g.
