A LARGE PORCELAIN PLATTER FROM THE KREMLIN SERVICE Russian, St. Petersburg, Imperial Porcelain Factory, Period of Nicholas I., 1838 Painted, gilded. Underglaze blue factory mark 'NI' under the crown, on the bottom remains of the inventory number, numbered '15' in gold. The ceremonial service, created for 50 people and comprising almost 1500 pieces, was designed by F.G. Solntsev for the Grand Kremlin Palace. Diam. 32.4 cm.
