Description
VIOLIN BEARING THE NAME 'MATHIAS NEUNER' AND VIOLIN BOW Probably Mittenwald, late 19th century. Two-piece spruce top and maple back, dark brown-reddish varnish. Full-size (4/4) violin, length 59.5 cm, body length 35.5 cm. Labelled "Mathias Neuner, violin maker in Mittenwald 1812, No. 94". Violin partially damaged, restored. Violin bow, German, 20th century, round stick, single eye, nickel silver mounting, length 73 cm, unmarked. Partially damaged and worn, head plate missing. Repaired 2020.
