OTTO PILZ 1876 Sonneberg - 1934 Dresden FAUN BOY ON A GOAT Bronze, dark patina, on a naturalistic plinth. H. 31.5 ?, W. 38, D. 19 cm, weight approx. 7.34 kg. Signed 'O. Pilz' on the plinth. Humorous animal sculpture with a mythical touch: a barefoot faun boy with pointed ears and small horns rides merrily on a powerfully striding billy goat. Partially repaired and loss of patina. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
