ARM RELIQUARY OF SAINT BERNARD THE ABBOT Probably France, 18th century Wood, carved on all sides, gilded, polychrome finish, reliquary window with glass cover in the center, on a pedestal. H. 38.5, W. 22, D. 13 cm, weight approx. 1.54 kg. Inscription 'St. Bernard' on the front. Arm reliquary in the form of a raised forearm in a blessing gesture, presumably of Bernard of Clairvaux (1090-1153). Some loss of material and repair, minimal woodworm damage on the reverse.
