A SILVER TANKARD WITH BIRDS AND FLOWERING BRANCHES Russian, Moscow, V.T. Sokolov, 1895 Silver, matte-finished and engraved, the interior gilt. The body and flat hinged cover engraved throughout with birds and flowering branches. Marked with city mark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and Cyrillic maker's mark 'VTS'. With later Soviet control marks. 13.4 cm high, 324 g.
