A LARGE AND VERY FINE ICON SHOWING THE EXTENDED DEISIS WITH SILVER-GILT OKLAD Russian, early 19th century (icon), Russian, Moscow, Egor Antipov Antipiev, 1820 (oklad) Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Finely executed in great detail on gold ground. The silver-gilt oklad carefully chased and repoussé in imitation of the painting, with a border of palmettes. Marked with city hallmark, assayer's mark, 84 standard and master's mark 'EA'. Minor losses. 45.3 x 38.5 cm.
