Signed in Cyrillic and dated lower right 'V. Grave 1895'. V.F. Grave attended Princess M.K. Tenisheva's drawing school in the late 1890s and subsequently studied under Ilya Repin at the Higher Art School in St. Petersburg from 1900 to 1905. Grave was active in several artistic circles and associations, including the First Ladies' Art Circle. Min. retouches.
