VIOLIN 'CHARLES CLAUDOT' AND TWO VIOLIN BOWS* Mirecourt, mid 19th century. One-piece spruce top and flamed maple back, brown-reddish varnish, with case. 4/4 violin, l. 59.9 cm, body l. 36 cm. Inside stamped 'Charles Claudot'. Two violin bows, round stick, nickel silver mounts, winding, bone head and ivory plate, l. 73.2 and 74.2 cm, weight approx. 56/58 g, violin bow unmarked, partially dam. and min. dam. Including sheet music Mendelssohn Violin Concerto Op. 64 in Emoll. Violin partially worn and damaged, cracks glued, rest, scroll later, ready to play. Expertise: Expertise violin maker Sticht, Rüsselsheim, 2019. Provenance: Private collection Hesse. CITES marketing certificate is available.
