VIOLIN PROBABLY 'JOSEPH JOACHIM EDLINGER' AND VIOLIN BOW Naples or Prague, 18th/19th century. One-piece spruce top and maple back, light brown varnish, with case. 4/4 violin l. 59.8, body l. 36.1 cm. Violin label: 'Josephus Joachinus Edlinger fecit Neapoli anno 1736'. Violin bow, 20th century, unmarked, round stick, single eye, winding and thumb leather, l. 74.5 cm. Violin partly dam. and rubbed, rest, cracks in top and back. Expertise: David Hill, Buckinghamshire, England, 15.06.2021 and appraisal - dating according to standard dendrochronology (wood Northern Alps around 1672) Departmend of Wood Science Brno.
