VIOLIN LABELLED 'JOHN WILSON' Dundee, Scotland, probably 1816 or later Two-piece spruce top and maple back, light brown varnish. Full-size (4/4) violin, length 58.5 cm, body length 35.5 cm. Labelled "J. Wilson Maker Dundee 1816". Partially bumped, closed crack to the top, rest. Provenance: Private collection North Rhine-Westphalia.
