VIOLIN LABLED 'R. GLADSTONE' Probably England, 19th century One-piece spruce top and maple back, brown-reddish varnish. 4/4 violin, length 59.2 cm, body length 35.4 cm. Violin label: 'Altered to improve tone by R. Gladstone Newcastle Ap. 23rd 1888'. Partly damaged and nicked, cracks in the top, rest.
