Description
"MANOPAN" TABLE BARREL ORGAN BY EUPHONIKA MUSIKWERKE Germany, circa 1900 Two-piece wooden case, ebonized. Crank-driven via perforated strip, main chamber with bellows and reeds, five perforated strips. H. 34, W. 67, D. 42 cm. Rare "Manopan" table barrel organ, manufactured by Euphonika Musikwerke around 1900. The instrument operates with a hand-cranked mechanism in which a perforated paper strip controls the valves of the reed stops. Included is Phonola roll No. 18908, "Wenn der weiße Flieder wieder blüht" ("When the White Lilac Blooms Again"). Parts intact; turning mechanism functional; bellows damaged; sound production therefore not tested.
