SARANGI North India, Rajasthan, 20th century Carved dark wood, skin-covered resonator, pegs for main and sympathetic strings, bone and mother-of-pearl inlay. Length approx. 66 cm, width 22 cm. The sarangi is one of the most important bowed string instruments of North India and is used in both Hindustani classical music and folk music. Part. bumped and rubbed.
