FINE VIOLIN Presumably Mittenwald, early 19th century. One-piece spruce top with fine grain and maple back; dark brown varnish; includes case. 4/4 violin, total length 60 cm, body length 35.7 cm. Label: 'Joseph Guarnerius fecit Cremonae anno 1735 IHS'. Part. bumped and rubbed; cracks in the top and back. Provenance: Private collection, North Rhine-Westphalia.
