GOTTHILF JAEGER 1871 Cologne - 1933 Berlin DANCE OF SALOMÉ Bronze, gilded, on a round marble plinth (H. 15.5 cm). Total H. 48, W. 14, D. 14 cm, weight approx. 5.46 kg. Marked 'Jaeger' on the back of the dress, probably Gotthilf Jaeger. Fully sculpted representation of a young female figure with ornamental, oriental-style jewelry in a dynamic, tense pose. Her arms are behind her back, holding a hoop. Partial loss of patina and min. bumped. Provenance: International private collection.
