UNKNOWN SCULPTOR 'FREMD?' Active circa 1900 'STANDING GENTLEMAN IN TRICORNE HAT WITH WALKING STICK' Probably France, 1890 Bronze, brown patina, on a round plinth (H. 38.5, W. 14, D. 14.5 cm; weight approx. 5.69 kg). Inscribed 'Fremd' and dated '1890' on the back of the plinth. Fully modeled figure of an elderly gentleman out for a stroll, dressed in 18th-century historicizing attire. He wears a tricorne hat, a long coat (justaucorps), and knee breeches, and holds a walking stick in one hand. Part. bumped and rubbed, loss of paint.
