GEORG KOLBE (AFTER) 1877 Waldheim - 1947 Berlin STANDING FEMALE NUDITY 'STATUETTE III' Bronze, dark patina, on a small plinth. H. approx. 40, W. 13, D. 12 cm. Later posthumous casting, monogrammed 'GK' and foundry mark 'H. Noack Berlin'. Rare nude depiction of the well-known 'Statuette III', cast posthumously after Georg Kolbe. The figure shows a standing female nude in a tense yet natural pose. The flowing lines and closed composition emphasize the sculptural harmony of form and tranquility typical of Kolbe's oeuvre. Minimal loss of patina and some minor damage.
