ITALIAN SCULPTOR Active in the 19th/20th century NIKE / VICTORIA AS AN ALLEGORY OF VICTORY Bronze, dark patina, on a round marble pedestal (H. 24.5 cm). Total height 70.5, W. 48, 40 cm. Classicist representation of the goddess of victory Nike or Victoria with outstretched wings and a laurel wreath stretched forward. The female figure appears in a dynamic forward stride, holding the laurel wreath as a symbol of triumph in her right hand. Partial loss of patina and minor damage, base damaged.
