VIENNESE FIGURINE MAKER Active in the 20th century COLLECTION OF SIX FROG FIGURES: "EVERYDAY SCENES" Viennese bronze, polychrome finish. Height 2.5 to 5 cm. Some marked "FBW" (Fritz Bermann Vienna). Six humorously designed frogs depicted in various everyday scenes and leisure activities. Subjects include frogs in a pond, a frog with a wheelbarrow full of flowers, a frog riding a snail, a frog on a chair with sheet music, a frog as a painter with brush and easel, and a frog as a greengrocer with a produce stall, scales, and a dog shopping. Partially bumped and rubbed, loss of patina, rest. Provenance: Private collection, Rhineland.
