UNKNOWN SCULPTOR Active 20th century ART DECO PIERRETTE DISH Bronze with dark patina; body and face made of casein (imitation ivory); round marble dish. H. 16, W. 15.5, D. 16 cm; weight approx. 1.44 kg. Round, recessed ashtray made of marble veined in black, golden-brown, and white. Features a young Pierrette-or dancer-seated on a cylindrical pedestal; she wears a stylized jester's costume with a collar and pom-poms and strikes an elegant Art Deco pose. Minor chips and restoration; slight loss of patina.
