PETER TERESZCZUK 1875 Wydbudow - 1963 Vienna DANCING FOOLS (PIERROT AND COLUMBINE)* Vienna, c. 1900-1910 Chryselephantine; bronze with dark patina, face carved from ivory; set on a round plinth and onyx base (h. 7 cm). Total height 31 cm, width 17 cm, depth 10 cm; weight approx. 3 kg. Unsigned; identical execution and design by Paul Tereszcuk. Fully modeled depiction of the dancing pair Pierrot and Columbine from the *Commedia dell'arte*, shown facing each other in lively, dance-like motion and wearing characteristic jester costumes. Minor loss of patina and some nicks/abrasions. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
