ERICH SCHMIDT-KESTNER 1877 Berlin - 1941 Nordhausen AMAZON ON A HORSE Bronze, dark brown patina, on a naturalistic plinth and marble base (h. 7 cm). H. 61, w. 40, d. 26 cm, weight approx. 24.57 kg. Inscribed on the plinth 'E. Schmidt-Kestner', with foundry mark 'Akt-Ges. Gladenbeck Berlin'. On a rock base a fully sculpted depiction of a rising horse with an Amazon sitting on it, holding a spear in her right hand. Min. loss of patina and bumped.
