HENRY FUGÈRE 1872 St-Mandé (Val-de-Marne) - 1944 Paris 'THE HERALD' (HERALD WITH FANFARE) Bronze, brown patina, on round plinth and marble base (H. 8 cm). Total height 41, width 10, D. 9.5 cm, weight approx. 2.9 kg. Marked 'Henry' and foundry mark 'Schumacher' on the plinth. Fully sculpted nude representation of a striding man, triumphantly holding a ceremonial staff with a spherical pommel in one hand and a fanfare in the other. Partial loss of patina.
