TWO WOOD NETSUKE OF EMACIATED WOLF Japan, 18th/19th century Wood. H. 3.1-3.8 cm. Including a netsuke of an emaciated wolf with inlaid eyes, and a netsuke of an emaciated wolf with inlaid eyes, one paw pressed against a skull while the mouth is open, biting onto the skull. With traces of age and use, partially abraded.
