HAMANO SCHOOL, A RARE MIXED METAL NETSUKE OF A SHISHI Japan, 19th century Copper alloy. L. 4.3 cm. The netsuke of shibuichi is cast as a shishi laying down with its head turned to the left, its body is inlaid with metal florets and its eyes with brass, signed on the bottom "Shozui (Masayuki)". With traces of use, slightly chipped. Provenance: From an old private collection in Hesse.
