A RARE MOTHER-OF-PEARL NETSUKE OF AN OX Japan, 19th century Mother-of-pearl. L. 5.2 cm. The oblate and irregular piece of mother-of-pearl is cleverly carved as an ox with high back reclining with its head turned left. With traces of use, slightly chipped. Provenance: From an old private collection in Hesse.
