Description
A PAINTED AND INLAID BAMBOO WOVEN KISERUZUTSU AND A STAG-ANTLER CARVED KISERUZUTSU Japan, 19th/20th century Bamboo/horn. L. ca. 21.5 cm. Including a fine woven kiseruzutsu of muso-zutsu form decorated with inlaid chrysanthemum of mother-of-pearl in front of a woven screen, signed "Isshu", as well as a kiseruzutsu in Asakusa style of muso-zutsu form carved with four panels depicting the Shikunshi. With traces of use, partially damaged. Provenance: From an old private collection in Hesse.
