A BRONZE SEATED FIGURE OF A CROWNED BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI China, Ming Dynasty Bronze. H. ca. 34 cm. Shakyamuni seated in dhyanasana with the right hand resting on the knee in the bhumisparsa mudra, attired in flowing robes, with a swastika on the chest, bearing an openwork crown. With traces of age and gilding, partially damaged. Provenance: From a private collection in North Rhine-Westphalia.
