A WALRUS TUSK SASHI-NETSUKE OF A DRIED FISH Japan, 18th/19th century Walrus tusk. L. 10.6 cm. The netsuke is carved as a dried fish (himono), with its mouth open to reveal rows of teeth, and finely detailed scales. With traces of use and age, slightly damaged and restored.
