EMIL WÜNSCHE 1864 Greiffenberg - 1938 Rottach MONUMENTAL HUNTING DOG WITH A KILLED PHEASANT Bronze, dark patina, on a rectangular plinth. H. 53, W. 90, D. 45 cm. Signed 'E. Wünsche' on the plinth. A large, fully modeled, naturalistic depiction of a hunting dog with a killed pheasant. The dog stands over its prey in an alert posture; the fur and plumage are rendered with rich detail and sculptural depth. Partial loss of patina and areas of rubbing.
