Description
A WOOD NETSUKE OF A MEDITATING DARUMA Japan, 19th century Boxwood. H. 3.8 cm. The netsuke is carved as a meditating Daruma, with ivory-inlaid earrings and large, asymmetrical himotoshi ringed in bone. Signed 'Shumin' on the underside. With traces of age and use.
