Description
AN IVORY CARVED NETSUKE OF A TALL CHINESE TABLE WITH SHOKI AND ONI Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 7.6 cm. The netsuke is carved as Shoki, reclining on his side atop a Chinese table with four slender, curved legs. The legs are elegantly shaped and intricately adorned with carved patterns. An oni clings to the edge of the table above. With traces of age and use. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country. It is currently not possible to export ivory to the USA, Canada or England. This item is not legal to sell in the UK.
