A FINE WOOD NETSUKE OF HOTEI AND CARP Japan, 19th century Wood. H. 3.7 cm. The netsuke is finely carved as Hotei standing behind a large carp with inlaid eyes, leaning against it with both hands while laughing with his mouth wide open. Signed 'Masanao' on the bottom. With traces of age and use.
