Description
A FINE IVORY CARVED OKIMONO OF SHOKI UND ONI Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 10.8 cm. The okimono is carved as Shoki with a drawn sword, the scabbard fastened to his back, with the right part of his cloak billowing upward and his long beard flowing. With his left foot, he steps on the defeated Oni, who screams in pain. With traces of use and age, partially damaged. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country.
