EIN FEINES GESCHNITZTES OKIMONO MIT ZWEI ONI AUS ELFENBEIN

A FINE IVORY CARVED OKIMONO OF TWO ONI Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 6.7 cm. The okimono is carved as two oni with inlaid eyes; one is sitting on the ground playing a drum, while the other is standing, leaning against the first oni, holding a fan. Signed 'Kaigyoku' in an oval reserve at the bottom of the drum. With traces of use and age, partially cracked. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
