Description
THREE FINE IVORY AND TUSK CARVED OKIMONO AND NETSUKE Japan, 19th century or later Ivory/Walrus tusk. H. 3.8-12.3 cm. Including an okimono carved as two monkeys with an open drawer box beside them, and a signature 'Mingyoku' at the base; an okimono carved as a Daruma standing on a rock, with a dragon coiled around its body, and a signature, probably 'Raimin', at the bottom; as well as an okimono-netsuke carved as a fisher sitting on a rock with three children around it, and a signature, probably 'Kimiteru', at the bottom. With traces of use and age, partially cracked. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community. An export license is required for shipment to third countries. Please inform yourself about the current import regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell in your country.
