A FINE IVORY CARVED OKIMONO OF THE SEVEN SAGES OF THE BAMBOO GROVE Japan, 19th century Ivory. H. 4.7 cm. The okimono is carved as the scene of 'seven sages of the bamboo grove', signed within a scroll-shaped reserve 'Gyokko' on the bottom. With traces of use and age. CITES marketing certificate is available. Please note that due to the current CITES regulations for ivory and tortoiseshell objects, unrestricted trade is only permitted within the European Community.
