LATE VICTORIAN BRACKET CLOCK England, late 19th century Wood (ebonized), bronze, glass, metal, steel. 47.5 x 36 x 24 cm (excluding handle). Standing on bronze feet, the clock features a tall rectangular form with ornamental bronze mounts and a pediment surmounted by a handle. Behind a glazed door lies an ornate dial featuring a chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, decorative hands, and a chime indicator. The sides and back are executed in openwork and backed with fabric. Partially rubbed and chipped; functionality untested; lacking pendulum and key.
