PORTAL CLOCK France, 19th century Bronze, brass (gilt), enamel, steel. 50.5 x 25 x 13.5 cm. Signed 'Malfroy à Lyon' on the dial; signed 'Lagache a Boulogne s(ur) m(er)' on the movement. Stepped, decorated base resting on rectangular feet. Four round columns with Corinthian capitals support a stepped, decorative pediment. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and Breguet hands. Partially worn and chipped; functionality untested; includes pendulum.
