NEOCLASSICAL COLUMNAR CLOCK Late 18th century Wood (partially carved, with polychrome and gilt finish), glass, enamel, metal, steel. 249 x 35 x 34 cm. Rectangular plinth with molded edges supporting a smooth column with a Corinthian capital. The clock mechanism is framed by elaborate gilt foliage and surmounted by a sculptural lion figure. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals and Arabic minute numerals; ornamental hands. Minor damage/wear in places; mechanism untested; includes winding crank (later addition).
