BLESSING INFANT JESUS (SALVATOR MUNDI) Likely South German, c. 1750 Wood, carved in the round, polychrome finish, on a square base. H. 71, W. 36, D. 25 cm. Standing figure of the unclothed Infant Jesus as Salvator Mundi, set on a molded square base. The right hand is raised in a gesture of blessing; the left hand is positioned to hold an orb (now lost). Part. nicks and damage; restored; losses to the polychrome finish.
