GROUP OF THREE SACRED FIGURES: MONK, MARY, AND JOSEPH Spain or South America, 18th century Wood, carved in the round, polychrome-painted and partially gilded. H. 14/13/37 cm. Depicting a monk with a tonsure wearing a voluminous habit and pelerine, and a pair of kneeling figures from a Nativity scene or Adoration group. Minor chips and damage, paint losses, signs of restoration, and a shrinkage crack.
