Description
FRENCH SCULPTOR Active in the 19th/20th century BOY WITH BOOK AND PEN Terracotta, fully modeled, seated on a cushion, round base. H. 38 cm. Numbered '5511' on the back, inscribed 'Sarochs? Laroche?' on the side of the cushion, presumably Jean-Baptiste Laroche (1757-1836). Partially restored and bumped, minimal hairline cracks.
