A VERY LARGE SILVER-MOUNTED CUT-GLASS JARDINIÈRE WITH ELEPHANT HANDLES Russian, St. Petersburg, Vladimir Gordon, 1908-1917 Colourless cut glass, silver with relief decoration and fully modelled handles. The navette-form colorless glass bowl cut with diamond and star pattern, the sides mounted with two silver handles in the form of elephant's heads, raised on a silver stand repoussé and chased with rosettes, C-scrolls, shells and trellis pattern, on two shell-cast scroll feet and two feet in the form of elephant's heads. Marked with district assay office mark, 84 standard, Cyrillic maker's mark 'W. GORDON' and Cyrillic 'SP'. 54 cm long.
