A FABERGÉ GILDED SILVER-MOUNTED CLARET JUG Russian, St. Petersburg, Fabergé, Julius Rappoport, 1908-1917 The triangular tapering body in heavy lead glass cut with columns of stars and diamonds, the underside cut with a sunburst pattern, the neck mount with a braided border and a sinous, art nouveau-influenced frame for the owner's initials, the hinged lid with an Imperial double-headed eagle finial. Marked with assayer's mark, 84 standard, firm's mark 'FABERGE' in Cyrillic and workmaster's mark 'I.R.' in Cyrillic. 29.3 cm high.
