A RARE ICON SHOWING THE JUDAS KISS AND THE TAKING OF CHRIST Russian, circa 1880 Tempera on wood panel. The haloes made of silver, covered by a golden lacquer. The border decorated with engraved stylized patterns emulating the metal oklads of contemporary icons. Minimally restored. 31 x 26.3 cm.
