A MONUMENTAL DATED ICON DEPICTING THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN Russian, dated 1914 Tempera on wood panel with kovcheg. Finely painted in great detail. The garments with dense chrysography. The borders ornately incised and painted in faux enameling. Vertical cracks, paint losses, partially restored. On the reverse Cyrillic inscription, dated '1914'. 89.8 x 57.3 cm.
